At Last.....

Hey, do you know whats great about having a construction crew milling about all over your house like worker bees, hammering, sawing, and generally making a big fucking racket, from 7am till 5pm every day, for weeks on end?

Not one damn thing.....

What am i talking about? Surely, you guys haven't forgotten already that this year, for mothers day, i let Friz basically remodel our house? Don't you guys hang on my every word? Of course you do.

Anyway, as of this week, we are finally done. At least for now. The trouble with being "me" is, I'm pretty sure at some point in the near future, I'll have to make up for doing SOME shit or another, and I'm finding that the easiest way for me to get out of hot water will be to build another wing to the old homestead, or a western veranda (what the fuck IS a veranda, anyway?) or some shit like that.

Anyhoo.....

This is what house Slyde looked like last Christmas...

And THIS is what it NOW looks like...

Much bettererer, no?

Anyway, I'm hoping that every time i do something stupid for at LEAST the next few weeks, i can point to the house and say "Could you just give me a LITTLE bit of a fucking break, please?"

At least that's the plan...

That looks spectacular!

Good job. You definately deserve a 'get out of jail free' card for the next month or two.

Well.. if the construction workers were as sexy as you, I wouldn't mid :)

The house looks beautiful

And so you don't hurt yourself
Veranda: : a usually roofed open gallery or portico attached to the exterior of a building

And it is an absolute guarantee that you will do something stupid in the next few weeks. It's your nature, buddy.

Um, construction guys at the house all the time? Who doesn't love that??

I LOVE the dormars on the after picture (is that what those pointy things are called?). Your house looks wonderful!!

I'm impressed. We always knew you were highly skilled but that is seriously an awesome transformation.

I have a veranda. Too bad you can't come over and have a beer with me. Ours even has a ceiling fan and recessed lighting. Meh. Can't wait to move.

Your place looks great! I think you deserve a fucking break for, like, the next 10 years.

Looks great! Friz did a wonderful job. Your get out of jail free card should last as long as it takes for you to earn the cost of the job. And while the job is still fresh you should bargain for a few new video games.

It looks awesome, though!!! Love it!
Now you need some window boxes. Or at least a couple of planters. :)

Wow - it looks great! We had a load of interior remodeling done in 2007 and we had construction people in the house for what seemed like forever, but we love the "after". Big difference!

ALRIGHT!!! THAT'S IT!!

We moved into the house we are going to sell when I was 8 mns preggos with my daughter. We had all sorts of plans/projects.

then two kids.

It is only now that we are moving-it is only NOW that we are getting any projects done!!! because we have too. and because the kids are out of the house.

and because we hired people to do it.

BUT DANG!! They did a bang up job. It looks so, estate-ly, so nice the colors!

yeah, you should just carry a photo in your pocket and brag about it, to everyone! :)

And of course I remember the Mother's Day gift, and I have been waiting to see the finished product.

Because I don't know about your other loser commenters, but I, for one, DO hang on your every word! LOL

It's SO pretty! I'm completely jealous of the front walk. Yeah, I'd pretty much let the hubby get away with all his crap if I could have a home remodel.
