I need a moment…

Pardon me, folks, but allow me a few days to bask in the warm, comfy, post-coital afterglow that happens to me after every time…..

… that LOST comes back on the airwaves!

Ok, who watched it last night? A whole 2 hours of Season Premier Goodness! My toes are still all tingly!

I thought it was very good. They are very definitely and swiftly moving the story forward with each new episode now, which is a pretty good thing since there are only 31 episodes left.

It HAD to have been a good episode, since, as a basic principle, I freaking HATE shows/movies about time travel, and I actually didn’t mind last night’s time-bending episode at all.

Why do I hate time-travel in movies/TV shows, you might ask? It’s because they always fuck things up, to the point where the movie just doesn’t make sense any more.

For instance, can someone please tell me why the fuck Marty Mcfly NEVER EVER, after each botched attempt at doing whatever he was trying to do, just go back to the damn car AND JUST SET THE DATE BACK AND TRY AGAIN? DAMNIT, that pisses me off!

Same goes for Terminator, or any other of the dozens of movies that deal with time travel. They just can’t write a decent story about moving through time that makes any real sense, so they just bend the rules a little to make a story of it, and it never fails to tick me off.

But that is neither here nor there. I’m still convulsing with joy over having Kate, Locke, Hurley, and Sawyer back in my life………

All I could think of last night is how much you must have been hating the show because of all the time travel bullshit.

Glad to see you got over it.

Is it bad that I really found Keamy attractive? Not as hot as you, of course. But still...

I just hate having to suspend logic to watch any show much less a sci-fi show. Science is right there in the name!

I lost my tv guide, so I missed the show. Maybe Superman can spin the earth backwards and I can catch the episode.

I've watched several episodes of a few seasons and I just don't get it. WTF, Lost?

It was AWESOME.
I, too, get irritated with time travel plots. Your questions about BTF are poignant, yet at the risk of oversimplifying, you'll notice that Marty could never actually *get* to the car or get the car to work when he messed things up... that was always an underlying issue. (Lack of uranium or plutonium in I, Doc drops him off in II and no gasoline(?) in III). My whole problem with time travel is the "If a butterfly flaps its wings" thing. You know every thing is dependent on everything else. One teensy change in the past should change every single thing in the present. But in the time travel plot, it only changes one or two things. LAME. I like how last night's show dealt with that problem. OK, this was way too long. Sorry. My inner nerd hasn't been let out in a while.

My problem with time travel is that earth will be in a different position in space at a different time. But movies wouldn't be very fun if Marty goes back in time and then realizes that he is floating in space.

Well it would be fun, but the movie would end rather quickly.

What would happen if SkyNet actually managed to kill John Conners BEFORE he had a chance to send his father back in time to have sex with his mother? He would never have been born, right?

Ouch...I think I just had a stroke.

I watched the first few episodes of the first season, and quickly realized that show was going to get deeper than I cared to delve.

Ya know, I did start watching Lost, but it got so 'beyond believable' that I gave up! I don't watch it now... you can have it mate!
