And appear she did.
Tina Fey once again portrayed Palin in what was easily the worst of these type of skits to date. I just didn’t find it funny at all. And Palin herself just basically walked out at the end to say “Live from New York, its Saturday Night!”
If you are like 99 percent of the country, you tuned in to watch the opening, then shut off the TV and promptly went to bed.
Which would have been a shame. Don’t get me wrong, the episode displayed its usual level of suckiness, and host James Brolin really didn’t bring too much “funny” to the table, but halfway through the show, during the weekend update, Palin once again surprisingly returned, and we were finally given something that made me chuckle.
I know that there was no way she could have done that rap herself, but how much damn funnier would it have been if she had?
Check it out and let me know what you think:
p.s. As expected, it is getting a massive amount of hits this morning, so be patient with the loading.

All I know is that James Brolin sucks.
dr zibbs: i kinda agree... i DID like him in "no country" tho..
It was kinda funny, but I just couldn't stand seeing her sitting there and "fronting".
I thought the "I'm No Angel" skit was by far the funniest of the show, and even that fell a little flat toward the end.
earl: i thought the angel skit was ok, but for me it fell flat much earlier than towards the end...
I loved the rap!!! Dude, i was dancing around my house!! In my PJ's!! I had fun!!!
Wanna dance with me?? Rap with me??
I was too busy watching my crush - Andy Samberg (aka the Eskimo on the right) to pay attention to anything else :) sorry.
Hmmm that is electioneering? Interesting. I don't recall getting a bloody card from you, which makes you a shit! LOL
michele: sure thing! i was singing it all day!
ali: i am SOO much better looking that andy samburg..
chris: i know i know.. im sorry... i always forgot to get one the few times i went to the store...
I haven't watched any of these yet (except this one) and I loved it. It would have been much more awesome had she done it herself. I'm ashamed to say that in the beginning skit, I honestly thought Tina Fey was Palin. I couldn't believe the things she was saying about McCain. Then I felt stoopid.
shania: nothing to be ashamed of.. tina looks ALOT like palin.
the only reason i can tell them apart is because ive had the hots for tina fey for about 10 years now..
Not sure what to say.. so I will keep silent.. for once... mouth closed
The rap itself was pretty funny. Recorded it on the DVR and watched it the next morning. Palin would have gotten my vote in the election had she actually done it herself, but the fact that she actually sat there and grooved to it while Amy Poler did showed a bit of guts.
The rest of the show really sucked balls though. None of it was any good at all.
You know, I believe you, but that itty bitty profile pic doesn't show very much :) when are you going to really show us?
Props to Palin for being able to take a joke.
I thought Marky Mark was the best, though. We pretty much end every sentence at my house with "Say hi to your mother for me," now.
Slyde, you need a drink. According to Google, that is. I've tagged you to play Po's needs game.
the cameo with mark wahlberg and his confrontation with sanberg was good too
Josh Brolin sucks. I could not believe the few words Palin uttered in the opening. After watching boring Brolin I shut the tv off....LOL
sunshine: mouth closed? theres no fun in that!
bruce: i agree... doing it herself would have taken balls which she doesnt have
ali: ive showed my beautiful mug in alot of past posts... dont tell me you arent scouring the archives!!
faiqa: thats funny! ive been doing the same thing at my house...
tamara: i do? ill head over there in a bit and check it out
2abes: yeah, it was..
cuz: i should have done the same thing...
Honestly, I haven't cared for SNL since Dennis Miller left. I be old. :(
honey: i be old right with you... the dennis miller days (with co-stars chris rock, dana carvey, michael meyers, adam sandlar, chris farley, phil hartman, kevin neilan, and david spade)...
my god, the lineup they had!
